What BeamSonar does

BeamSonar monitors publicly available online discussions (such as Reddit and Hacker News) and alerts you to threads relevant to a product or website you choose to monitor. This policy explains what information we collect from you and how we handle it.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, used for sign-in links and alert delivery.
• Monitor configuration: the website URL you submit and the derived product profile (keywords, topics, subreddits) used to find relevant threads.
• Scan and alert history: the threads we surface for you, together with your feedback (thumbs up/down) and lead statuses, which we use to improve relevance.
• Usage data: basic, aggregated analytics about how the site is used (via Vercel Analytics). We do not use advertising trackers.

Public content

The threads BeamSonar surfaces are publicly available posts published by third parties on platforms like Reddit and Hacker News. We read this content the same way a browser does; we never post, vote, or act on those platforms on your behalf, and we are not affiliated with Reddit, Inc. or Y Combinator.

How we use your information

• To run your scans and monitors and deliver email alerts you requested.
• To tune relevance — your feedback trains which threads your monitors surface.
• To send transactional email (sign-in links, alert digests). You can stop digests at any time by pausing or deleting monitors in your dashboard.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email without your consent.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run BeamSonar: hosting and analytics (Vercel, Railway), database (Neon), email delivery (Resend), and AI processing used to analyze public posts and your submitted website (OpenAI, DeepSeek). Monitor configuration and public post content are shared with AI providers only as needed to provide the service. If we add payments, they will be processed by Stripe — card details never touch our servers.

Cookies

We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you signed in to your dashboard. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention and deletion

Lead history is retained according to your plan. Deleting a monitor deletes its lead history. To delete your account data entirely, email us and we will remove your monitors, alerts, and account records.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored with reputable cloud providers. Sign-in uses expiring, signed email links rather than passwords.

Children

BeamSonar is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date.
